The Blue Jackets acquired Dick Tarnstrom from the Oilers for Curtis Glencross, according to the Columbus Dispatch. "One of our weaknesses is not having enough puck-moving defensemen, and Dick will help us in that area," Blue Jackets general manager Scott Howson said. "He certainly has some power-play credentials." Although he has just eight power-play points over the past two seasons, Tarnstrom racked up 38 PPP during the 2003-04 campaign and 25 PPP the season before that. He won't play until next week, but could be a decent waiver-wire pick-up to see if he steps it up with his new team.
