Rick Nash, who has already missed 11 games this season with a high right ankle sprain, suffered an injury to his left knee during the third period of Thursday's game, according to the Canadian Press. He was skating into Calgary's end when he was hit knee-on-knee by a Flame while trying to skate by defenceman Rhett Warrener. The injury is listed as day-to-day, but Nash will not play in Friday night's game against Vancouver.

Rick Nash is expected to remain on injured reserve for another 12-to-14 days with a sprained ankle, according to the AP. Team officials had hoped he would return this weekend. "Unfortunately, that's not the case," team president and general manager Doug MacLean said. "He's going to be immobilized for the next week. Then we'll start therapy again. From what the doctors told me, if we follow this procedure he should be 100 percent in two weeks."
