Slam! Sports is reporting that the New York Rangers have agreed to terms on a new deal with the newly acquired Christopher Higgins. Higgins came to New York in the trade the sent Scott Gomez to Montreal.

Christopher Higgins has been dealt from Montreal to New York in exchange for Scott Gomez, according to the Associated Press. Minor leaguers Tom Pyatt and Mike Busto are also going to Montreal in the deal, with defensemen Ryan McDonagh and Pavel Valentenko heading to New York.

Christopher Higgins is set to return to action tonight at Tampa Bay, according to the Montreal Gazette. He has been out since December 9 while recovering from a shoulder injury.
