Ben Eager has been suspended for three games for swinging his stick at Sean Avery while sitting on the bench during Thursday's game against the Stars, according to TSN.

TSN reports that Ben Eager is likely going to get a suspension for swinging his stick at Sean Avery in a preseason game while he was on the Blackhawk benchon Thursday. Avery had skated by and apparently said something to the Hawk bench. Eager reacted by swinging his stick.

Ben Eager, who hasn't played since Jan. 30 because of a concussion, skated with his teammates on Wednesday, this according to the Chicago Tribune. Eager could return to active duty as early as this weekend.

The Blackhawks sent Ben Eager back to Chicago on Friday in order to place him on injured reserve, according to the Chicago Tribune. Eager has 67 penalty minutes in 28 games this season, but he remains out indefinitely due to a concussion.

Ben Eager still is battling concussion symptoms. Coach Denis Savard told the Chicago Tribune that Eager "is not feeling any better." Keep the tough guy on your bench for the foreseeable future.
