Alexander Steen had a goal and an assist in Thursday's win at Buffalo. The surging Steen now has nine points in four games after doing very little in the first three months of the season.

Alexander Steen had a career-night on Thursday, scoring a hat trick and adding two assists. "There has never been a doubt about his talent," Maple Leafs coach Paul Maurice told the AP. "There were questions to other parts of his game, but he has worked hard to improve those." Steen had just two goals and six assists going into Thursday's game.
