The Hurricanes may have ended in a loss, but goalie Cam Ward did all he could to overcome the failures and push his team to a win. March 19, 2008
Cam Ward enjoyed another strong performance for the Carolina Hurricans, helping his team to a 5-3 win over the Atlanta Thrashers. Ward posted a save percentage of 91.176% this evening, turning 31 of 34 total shots aside. Ward has been a bit up and down this season, so this game offers a hopeful sign of better (and more consistent) days ahead. Ward is still very young (24) and the former 1st-round draft pick has plenty of room to grow and become the top keeper we know he can be.

Cam Ward kicked aside all 25 Blackhawks' shots Wednesday to earn his fourth shutout of the season. The netminder has won eight of his last nine starts, posting a 2.21 GAA and .918 save percentage over that time. Ward is still an inconsistent fantasy play, but ride him now while he's hot.
February 9, 2008

Ward had allowed only two goals in his last two starts, but by allowing six tonight he has permitted at least four goals twice in his last four starts continuing a season long trend of extremely uneven play.
