The Thrashers re-signed Jim Slater to a multi-year contract on Wednesday, according to the teams official website. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Slater logged 19 points in 74 games last season.

The Thrashers expect Jim Slater to return to action this evening, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He's missed the past four games with a foot injury.
