Corvo has been with the Hurricanes for about a month now and used todays opportunity to show Ottawa the mistake they made in trading him south, scoring points 13, 14, and 15 since coming to Carolina.

Joe Corvo scored a goal on Wednesday night on the power-play, his second goal in two games and third in 10 games with the Canes. After 27 points in 51 games in Ottawa, Corvo has picked up the offense since joining Carolina with seven points in 10 games during which time he is a +5. Corvo is one of the more underrated defensemen in the fantasy universe.

A four-player transaction between the Ottawa Senators and the Carolina Hurricanes was confirmed Monday according to TSN.ca. Sources say the Senators have acquired defenseman Mike Commodore and forward Cory Stillman in exchange for defenseman Joe Corvo and forward Patrick Eaves. Commodore and Stillman are scheduled to become unrestricted free agents on July 1. Stillman had to agree to waive his no-trade clause to go to Ottawa.
