Marek Svatos was unable to practice yesterday and will miss his fourth straight game tonight, according to the Rocky Mountain News. Svatos is battling a strained groin.

Marek Svatos will miss tonight's game and could be out the rest of the week due to a groin problem, according to the Denver Post. Svatos played Sunday with the injury but was less than effective. "You don't want to keep making it worse," he said.

Marek Svatos is set to make his preseason debut tonight, according to the Denver Post. Svatos hasn't played in a game since suffering a season-ending shoulder injury March 4. "I'm pretty excited," Svatos said. "I'm sure after a couple of shifts, the nervousness is going to go away."

Marek Svatos isn't quite ready for contact but should be able to play in a couple of exhibition games and be available for the opener, the Rocky Mountain News reports. He's coming back from a fractured shoulder which cost him the final quarter of last season.

Marek Svatos will miss the rest of the season with the right shoulder injury he suffered last Saturday against Dallas, according to the AP. 'Marek sustained a fracture in his right shoulder, which was discovered during an MRI and the subsequent result is that he will require surgery,'' said Avalanche Head Trainer Matt Sokolowski. ''We expect him to make a complete recovery in four to five months.'' He was second among NHL rookies in goals (32) and third among all rookies in points with 50.

Marek Svatos returned to Denver yesterday for further testing on his ailing right shoulder, according to the Denver Post. "We feel he's made some progress the last two days but want to make sure by having him seen," coach Joel Quenneville said.

Marek Svatos has pain in his right shoulder - the same one he needed surgery on in the past, according to the Denver Post. Svatos suffered the injury in Saturday's game, most likely after a big hit from Jason Arnott. The Avs will know more about severity of the injury as this week progresses.
