The Leafs locked up Matthew Stajan with a two-year deal worth $3.5 million, according to the AP.

Matthew Stajan is close to inking a new multi-year deal with the Maple Leafs, according to the Toronto Sun. Assistant GM Jeff Jackson said, "We're getting pretty close. Matt is on holiday in Europe and we hope to have it settled when he gets back at the end of the week."

Matthew Stajan had three assists and was a +3 in the Leafs 5-0 victory over the Senators on Monday. Stajan doesn't provide anywhere near enough offense from the center position to be on a fantasy squad, he has 13 goals and 16 assists in 64 games, and these were actually his first points in five games.
