April 10, 2008
Bruins HC Claude Julien believes that the struggles of goalie Tim Thomas against the Canadiens this year have more to do with the play in front of him than his own failings, this according to the Boston Globe. "We certainly don't have to point the finger at him as far as not being good," said Julien. During the regular season Thomas was 0-4-1 with a 4.21 GAA against Montreal, so let's hope that his teammates figure out how to play defense in front of him or this could be a quick series.
April 5, 2008
Tim Thomas lost his last start of the season for the Bruins though he allowed only two goals to the Sabres. Thomas ends the year with a 28-19-6 record falling two games short of his second straight 30 win season. The good news is that he dropped his GAA by more than half a goal a game, from 3.13 to 2.43, and his strong play on most nights would seem to give the Bruins a shot to make some noise in the playoffs.
April 2, 2008

March 29, 2008
Boston goalie Tim Thomas enjoyed another great performance, stopping each and every one of 34 shots on goal to lead his Bruins to an impressive 4-0 win over the Ottawa Senators. Thomas sports a 91.9% save percentage on the season, one of the best in the NHL this season (on par with Martin Brodeur). Performances like this show why he’s valued so highly among tenders in the league and why we should match that impression in fantasy leagues.
March 6, 2008
Tim Thomas allowed five goals on just 23 shots to the Leafs on Monday night in his second straight brutal outing. Thomas has allowed a shocking 12 goals in his last two outings and he simply must be benched in the short-term before he torpedoes your team's GAA.

February 21, 2008
Tim Thomas had a simply awful game on Thursday night as he allowed four goals in just 12 shots before he was replaced by Alex Auld who stopped all 15 shots he faced in the Bruins shootout victory. Thomas has now allowed four or more goals in four of his last six outings, which for those of you who are new to 21st century hockey is an awful series of numbers. Thomas may find himself on the bench as the team gives Auld a chance to make a few starts.
