Reported by the Piisburgh Post-gazette, Defenseman Brooks Orpik has been resigned by the Penguins to a six-year contract. Financial terms have yet to be disclosed.

Brooks Orpik has rejected the contract offer presented by the Penguins, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "We did receive an offer, which we turned down," agent Lewis Gross said. "But we're still talking."

The Penguins reportedly want to re-sign Brooks Orpik before he becomes an unrestricted free agent on July 1, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
