The Buffalo News is reporting that the Sabres were without Paul Gaustad again on Saturday due to the flu. Gaustad did not make the trip with the team to Long Island for the game against the Islanders.

Paul Gaustad needed stitches on his elbow after getting hurt in Wednesday's battle with Atlanta, according to the Buffalo News.

Paul Gaustad came up big late for the Sabres on Wednesdya, netting a pair of special teams goals in the third period. He put them up 4-0 on the power play and then 5-0 shorthanded for an eventual 5-1 win over Montreal. He was also a +1 for the night with two penalty minutes.
