The Carolina Hurricanes have placed center Eric Staal on the injured list, according to Slam! Sports. Staal has been out since November 1 with an upper-body injury.

Updating an earlier report, it now appears that Eric Staal will likely miss a handful of games with what is being described as an upper-body injury, according to the Raleigh News & Observer. Staal will lose his streak of 349 consecutive games played during the regular season.
