Dustin Brown scored his 33rd goal on the season on Saturday for the hapless Kings, which is quite a breakout performance for Brown who managed a total of just 31 goals over 160 games the previous two seasons. Brown could be overlooked next season because he lacks name recognition playing in California, but smart fantasy player will realize his value and pounce on him in the early middle rounds.

Dustin Brown scored twice and added a helper in the Kings game on Friday night to up his season long totals to 28 goals and 49 points, both career best marks in his third season. Brown was a bit of a disappointment last season, but not many players reach the 30-goal mark in their third season, so this year is much more indicative of the type of player the Kings believe they have in Brown.

Dustin Brown skated yesterday and said his sprained shoulder felt better. However, he didn't get back into game action that evening. "I probably could play if this was a playoff game," he said, according to the LA Times. "I wanted to play, and I'm frustrated not being able to play. But there's no sense in risking it. It's already way ahead of schedule." It sounds like Brown should resume his season soon, so stay tuned for updates on his status.
