It sounds like Patrice Bergeron is nowhere near being ready to return from his Grade III concussion. "He was better the other day, but he was coming off two bad days," Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli told the Boston Herald. "On his good days, hell go for a walk for five minutes with his mom. On his bad days, no, he cant even do that. Were three weeks in, and hes barely able to go for a five-minute walk." Considering that he'll have to go without conussion symptoms for several days before he can even get into practice, Bergeron clearly will not be playing in games any time in the near future.

The Bruins are considering placing Patrice Bergeron on long-term injured reserve due to his Grade III concussion. He would then be required to miss 24 days and 10 games due to the injury, which means he wouldn't be eligible to play until Nov. 24, according to the Boston Globe. Since he's expected to miss at least a month, it's unlikely that he would be ready before then.

Patrice Bergeron broke his nose and had a concussion after a ferocious hit from Randy Jones Saturday, the AP reports. The Bruins were relieved to find nothing else was wrong with Bergeron, upon further examination. It's possible Jones may be suspended for the hit.
