Niklas Kronwall missed Sunday night's game with a sore groin. He's listed as day-to-day and hopes to practice on Monday, according to the Detroit News. It doesn't sound like anything that will keep him off the ice for long, but he's had trouble staying healthy during his career thus far, so it's something to keep an eye on.

Niklas Kronwall scored a goal in Detroit's win at San Jose Thursday, his first point in eight games this year. He showed plenty of scoring potential in the minors, but his upside is tempered in Detroit so long as the Red Wings have Niklas Lidstrom and Brian Rafalski already on the blue line.

Niklas Kronwall might begin skating in another week or so, according to the Detroit Free Press. However, he won't be playing in games anytime soon. The Red Wings desperately need his help after losing Mathieu Schneider for the rest of the playoffs due to a broken wrist. Kronwall is recovering from a broken sacrum.

Niklas Kronwall is expected to be out 6-8 weeks after breaking his sacrum on Friday night against the Stars, according to the AP. The sacrum is the triangular bone near the lower end of the spine.

Niklas Kronwall left Friday night's game on a stretcher after injuring his right hip on a check from Joel Lundqvist of Dallas, the AP reports. Kronwall was taken to Detroit Medical Center for further tests.

Niklas Kronwall left Saturday's game after suffering a laceration of his nose, according to the AP. He was taken to a hospital and will have the All-Star break to recover from the injury.
