Jason Pominville was named a finalist for the Lady Byng award given each year to the player who "exhibited the best type of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high standard of playing ability, according to NHL.com.

Jason Pominville netted two goals and two assists, including two in a wild third period that saw Buffalo score six goals, to push the Sabres to an exciting 7-4 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Pominville now has 74 points on the year and has been a consistent force of scoring and pass support for a team battling to stay in a tight Northeast Division playoff race. The kid has three goals and six assists in his last three games, getting it done in the most crucial time of year for Buffalo.
