The Coyotes have re-signed goalie Al Montoya, according to the AP. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Al Montoya landed in Phoenix Tuesday in a deadline deal. The former first-round pick has yet to appear in an NHL game and doesn't figure to do so at any point this season.

The Rangers recalled Al Montoya from Hartford of the AHL on Tuesday, according to the AP. He will serve as Kevin Weekes' backup while Henrik Lundqvist is sidelined with a hip injury.
