Defenseman Andrej Meszaros is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder on March 3, in Birmingham, Alabama, according to the Sports Ticker. Teammate and fellow defenseman Paul Ranger will have the same procedure performed on the same date. Both players are expected to recover within six months.

Andrej Meszaros exited Wednesday's battle at Pittsburgh in the second period with an apparent arm injury, according to the Associated Press. He was injured on a crushing open-ice hit from Evgeni Malkin.
