The AP reports that Corey Perry scored the tying and go-ahead goals about 4 minutes apart on power plays in the third period to help the Anaheim Ducks beat the San Jose Sharks 6-4 on Wednesday night.

Updating an earlier story, Corey Perry has indeed singed on to remain with the Anaheim Ducks, according to Slam Sports. The deal is for $26.625 million over the next five years. "Corey is one of the top young players in the NHL today," said GM Brian Burke. "He's a true Duck, a hard-nosed goal-scorer who's difficult to play against."

Corey Perry is on the verge of signing Corey Perry to a long-term deal, according to TSN. No dollar figures are yet known, but TSN is reporting that the offer on the table is very close to the one that the team signed Ryan Getzlaf to last season, one that is worth over $5 million annually.

Corey Perry suited up for Game 4 of the Ducks first round series with the Stars completing his comeback from a severed tendon above his right knee, this according to the Los Angeles Times. "I thought he was a little rusty, but I thought the more he played in the game, the more he showed the ability to get back to it," head coach Randy Carlyle said.

Changing what had previously been reported, Corey Perry now appears likely to suit up for action in Game 4, this according to TSN. "Practice was on the lighter side today, but yesterday we did a lot of skating at the end of practice, and it's gotten better since last week, that's for sure."

Corey Perry skated for more than an hour for the second straight day on Thursday as he tries to return to the ice following a lacerated tendon in his right quadriceps, this according to the Los Angeles Daily News. "Trying to get my wind back is the big thing," Perry said. "I don't want to push it too hard and come back too soon. It's healing pretty quickly. Hopefully (I can play) next weekend." Perry hopes to be able to join his mates on the ice before the end of the Ducks first round matchup with the Stars.

Corey Perry returned to the ice on Tuesday for the first time with his teammates since suffering a torn right quadriceps muscle, this according to the Los Angeles Times. "Today, it felt great," Perry said. "That's why I stayed out and did a couple of drills with the team. If it continues to be like that, it could be quicker than everybody thinks." It still appears likely that Perry could play at some point in the first round though the team is taking a cautious approach to his return to game action which means that he could still miss at least half of the first round.

Corey Perry led Anaheim with 29 goals despite missing the final 12 games of the season after his quad was cut by the skate of Colorado goalie Jose Theodore on March 6. It was the lowest total to lead the Ducks in a regulation season since their inaugural 1993-94 campaign, when Bob Corkum had 23.

Corey Perry, out since March 6th with a lacerated quadriceps tendon, hopes to return at some point in the first round of the playoffs, this according to the Orange County Register. Being that this was/is a severe injury, we are a bit reluctant to suggest adding Perry to a playoff pool squad, but it appears that, barring a setback, he will be available at some point in the next two weeks.

Corey Perry required surgery to repair a lacerated tendon above his right knee, accordinng to the AP. He sustained the injury Thursday and underwent the procedure that evening. He should be released from the hospital by Saturday, but he isn't expected to be ready to play for about six weeks. That means his regular season should be over.
