A decision won't be made until after today's morning skate, but it's possible that Rene Bourque could return to action this evening, according to the Sun-Times. He's been out of action with a deep laceration in his neck.

Rene Bourque got in a full workout yesterday, as he continues to recover from a severe neck laceration, according to the Sun-Times. However, he remains at least another week away from returning to game action.

Rene Bourque has begun skating again, the Chicago Tribune reports. He's coming back from a neck injury, caused from an opposing player's skate.

Rene Bourque is able to ride an exercise bike and could start skating again soon, according to the Chicago Tribune. Bourque is out until at least mid December because of a deep cut in his neck.

Rene Bourque will be out three to six weeks after suffering a deep cut in his neck in Sunday's game, according to the Chicago Tribune. Bourque was injured when Columbus' Nikolai Zherdev was checked and sent flying into Bourque, his left skate connecting with Bourque's neck. Bourque has eight points in 14 games this season.

Rene Bourque was caught on his neck by a skate during yesterday's game and was taken to a hospital, according to the Chicago Tribune. "Everybody was concerned because he came off in a hurry," Hawks coach Trent Yawney said. "But we know that everything is OK and it's not life-threatening."
