The Predators will be taking a long look at free agent defenseman Teppo Numminen when World Cup play starts August 30, according to the Tennessean. Predators defenseman Kimmo Timonen said he's talked with Numminen about signing with Nashville. "He sounded really optimistic, like it could happen, but I don't know about the money issues or anything like that," said Timonen.
