Defenseman Matt Lashoff was sent to the minors by the Bruins on Thursday, according to the Providence Journal. Also sent down were defenseman Jeff Penner and goaltender Tuukka Rask.

Matt Lashoff was reassigned to the minor leagues on Thursday, this according to the Boston Herald. The return of Boston captain Zdeno Chara was the direct result of sending Lashoff down. In 14 games this season the defenseman had one goal and three total points.
