The Blackhawks re-signed Dustin Byfuglien, Adam Burish, and James Wisniewski on Wednesday, the Ticker reports. Terms were not disclosed. All three players were due to be restricted free agents.

Dustin Byfuglien will be shutdown and end his season with 19 goals and 36 points because of a bulging disc in his back, this according to the Chicago Sun Times. Byfuglien ended up spending a large portion of the year at forward, but with defensive eligibility, he bares keeping and eye on heading into the 2008-09 season.

Dustin Byfuglien, who has made a successful transition from blue-liner to forward, scored his 18th goal of the season on Sunday as the 'Hawks defeated the Blues, 4-3. His positional listing as a defenseman, while he actually plays forward, makes him an outstanding fantasy option regardless of league or format.
