The Blue Jackets have recalled Dan LaCosta from AHL Syracuse, the team's official website reports.

Dan LaCosta has been sent down to AHL Syracuse, according to the Columbus Dispatch. Defenseman Andrey Plekhanov was sent down as well. Goaltender Sebastian Dahm was released from his tryout agreement, but has been invited to Syracuse's camp.

The Columbus Dispatch reports that the Blue Jackets have signed 2004 third-round pick Dan LaCosta. LaCosta spent the year in the Ontario Hockey League and was 36-17-1 with a .915 save percentage.
