Michael Frolik was promoted to the Panthers' top line with Nathan Horton and Cory Stillman, and will remain there for the next game, according to the Miami Herald. Frolik said, "I played with Horton during some preseason games and both guys are great players. I'm excited to be with them. I'm looking forward to having a good game to stay on that line."

The South Florida Sun Sentinel reports that rookie Michael Frolik will play on the second line on Monday night.

Michael Frolik has played once so far this season, and the 20-year-old sat out his third game Saturday, according to the Miami Herald. He could be sent down to the minors if that trend continues, which would allow him more playing time to develop his skills. Coach Pete DeBoer said, "If we get to the quarter mark of the season and he's not playing, obviously you start to weigh if this is detrimental to him or not. This early, he's learning about the NHL; he's learning what it takes and is on the ice with NHL players every day."
