March 16, 2008
Fredrik Norrena served as the rock of solitude for the Columbus Blue Jackets today, saving 43 of 46 shots against to help the Jackets pull a 4-3 victory over the mighty Detroit Red Wings. Norrena has been solid this year despite a troubled supporting cast (only 17 shots on goal for Columbus today). On any other team, he might be a fantasy star.
February 14, 2008
Fredrik Norrena allowed six goals on 28 shots as not a single player on the Blue Jackets finished the game with a plus rating in their 7-2 loss to Chicago. It's hard to blame this loss on the goalie, but hopefully for your fantasy squad you didn't have this brutal outing in your lineup. Over his three previous games Norrena had allowed only six goals, so expect a rebound from him the next time he finds himself between the pipes.
