Karri Ramo continues his education as an NHL goalie, tonight making an amazing 38 saves on 39 shots on goal (97.436%), leading the Tampa Bay Lightning to a hard-fought 2-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes. Since coming up from Norfolk in December, Ramo has posted just three one-goal games (including this evening) and no shutout wins. For a young goalie learning the ropes, it is understandable.

Karri Ramo was on his game this evening, kicking 34 of 35 shots to the side in leading the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 3-1 victory over the Florida Panthers. Ramo has struggled through rough times of late, but tonight was a nice reprieve for many fantasy owners that are certain to have found more reliable options for fantasy lineups.

Karri Ramo allowed only one goal on 28 shots but it wasn't enough for the Lightning who sit last in the Eastern Conference with just 57 points on the year. Ramo has now allowed only three goals in his last two starts but his record still sits at 4-9-1 on the year, thought these two performances may earn him an additional start or two with Johan Holmqvist having allowed three of more goals in seven of his last nine games.
