The Devils added Sheldon Brookbank via waivers from the Blue Jackets, the AP reported on Wednesday. He logged 53 points in the AHL last season.

The Blue Jackets agreed to a one-year contract with defenseman Sheldon Brookbank . Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Brookbank was an AHL All-Star last season while playing in the Predators minor league system.
