The AP reports that the Pittsburgh Penguins recalled left wing Janne Pesonen from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League on Saturday.

Janne Pesonen has been sent down to AHL Wilkes-Barre by the Penguins, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Finnish star Janne Pesonen has inked a deal to play for the Penguins, according to Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. He agreed to a one-year, two-way contract. Penguins' GM Ray Shero said, "Pesonen is a quick, skilled player that has had much success in the Finnish Elite League. We look forward to watching him perform at his first NHL training camp."
