Jason Arnott only sustained a neck strain in Monday's battle with the Sharks, and could return to the ice Friday against the Lightning, according to the Tennessean. Coach Barry Trotz simply stated, "He's going to be fine."

The AP reports that Nashville Predators captain Jason Arnott left Mondays game against the San Jose Sharks in the first period with an undisclosed injury. The center skated toward goaltender Brian Boucher and lost his footing, sliding head-first into the net where he appeared to hit his head. Arnott was then carried off on a stretcher following a short delay with two seconds remaining in the session.
