The Red Wings are only one win away from hoisting the Stanley Cup as they hold a 3-1 lead in the Finals, and Kirk Maltby commented on the Penguins, according to the Detroit News. Maltby said, "They're going to be desperate. They're fighting for their lives. They're going to want to throw everything at us, and they've got a lot over there."

His hamstring ailment is getting better but he is likely running out of time and noted, "I'd have to be very fortunate healthwise. But I don't know if I'm going to ask the guys to prolong the series just for the sake of that playing. As long as I don't have any setbacks, I should be ready for the second round."
