Sean Hill will leave the Wild and the NHL to play in Switzerland, according to TSN. The defenseman inked a one-year contract with Swiss club Biel. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Taking advantage of increased playing time due to the injury to Kurtis Foster, Sean Hill scored a goal and added an assist on Monday night for the Wild. Hill isn't an offensive defensemen even if you stretch the meaning of the term, but he does have three points in the last three games.

Sean Hill placed Sean Hill on injured reserve with a sprained ankle on Monday. He suffered the injury during Fridays game against the Blackhawks.
