The Predators signed Yanic Perreault to a two-way contract on Monday to serve as their second-line center, according to the Nashville City Paper. Perreault won the training camp battle with Randy Robitaille for the job. "It was a very close decision," Predators GM David Poile said. "Thats what we told Randy. Perreault has more experience. His ability on face-offs was a big attraction. Offensively, they were pretty close."

Predators GM David Poile wants further evaluation before deciding whether to make a contract offer to center Yanic Perreault, who is in the Preds' training camp on a tryout basis, according to the Tennessean. Perreault is involved in the battle for the second-line center spot, which is likely to go to either Perreault or Randy Robitaille.
