Robert Lang scored the game-winning goal in Friday's win over Detroit, and he also set up another tally for Chicago. Lang seems to enjoy playing his former club - he had the game-tying score in the first meeting, a game Chicago won in a shootout.

The Blackhawks signed free agent Robert Lang to a two-year contract Monday, according to the AP. He played with the Red Wings last season, scoring 19 goals with 33 assists in 81 games. "Robert gives us another offensive weapon at the center position," general manager Dale Tallon said. "He is a right hand shot who will be able to help us on our power play. He definitely gives us more strength up the middle."

Robert Lang will not return to the Red Wings next season, according to the Detroit Free Press. His production has waned in his two full seasons with Detroit, so maybe a change of pace will help him get back to his former level of production. The Red Wings are looking to re-sign Todd Bertuzzi, which likely will suck up a large chunk of their offseason budget.

Robert Lang was sent to the fourth line on the weekend and played just 12 minutes in the second game with San Jose, accordng to the Detroit News. It's not clear what his role will be when the Red Wings and Sharks resume the series Monday.
