Brian Rolston is progressing in his recovery from a sprained ankle, according to the NY Post. He said, "I'm feeling good, back on the ice, just skating by myself, with a stick, getting my strength, taking it slow. It's going to take me a little bit to get back conditioning-wise. As far as my ankle, at this point it feels real good. It gets stronger every day, so we add a little more intensity every day."

Devils forward Brian Rolston had another X-ray, which confirmed that there is no damage to his sprained right ankle, according to the Newark Star-Ledger. "He's progressing very well. We'll just have to keep going day by day," said New Jersey general manager Lou Lamoriello.

Forward Brian Rolston received good news on Monday. An MRI and X-rays showed no structural damage in his sprained right ankle, and he is day-to-day. "It's a sprain. Now it's a matter of when the swelling goes down. There is no timetable because it's an unknown," general manager Lou Lamoriello tells the Newark Star-Ledger.

The Wild traded the rights to forward Brian Rolston to the Lightning on Sunday, the AP reports. They received a conditional draft pick in return. Rolston, 35, scored 31 goals and chipped in 28 assists last season. The Lightning have exclusive rights to talk to Rolston until Tuesday.

Brian Rolston previously stated that he wants to remain in Minnesota, but now it appears that negotiations to re-sign him have stopped and he could become an unresctricted free agent on July 1, according to the Star Tribune. Rolston's agent has not returned a team's phone call since last week, and it would appear that Rolston will opt to test the free agent market.

Brian Rolston would like to remain in Minessota, but it is unclear if he and the organization will be able to work out a deal to keep the 35 year old whiz in town, according to the Star Tribune. The team claims they have yet to receive a counter offer from Rolston's agent which prompted GM Doug Risebrough to say that "When you've made three [offers] and haven't got one, it doesn't motivate you to make four."

Brian Rolston wants to stay with the Minnesota Wild, and is optimistic it will happen, according to the Star Tribune. The 35-year could become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, but is hoping it doesn't get to that point. Rolston said, "We've been talking to the Wild, having a lot of ongoing discussions. Nothing's signed yet or anything, but we're definitely talking at least, so that's good."

Brian Rolston missed his first game of the season on Sunday night as he was forced out due to the flu. Rolston is quite possibly the Wilds best all-around skater, and his offense isn't too bad either with 23 goals, six of them game winners. Look for him to return to the lineup as soon as he gets over his case of the sniffles.

Brian Rolston scored two goals on Saturday night to help lead the Wild to a 4-3 OT victory over the Isles in a game in which Brett Burns scored the game-winner. Rolston has now scored a goal in seven of his last eight games to push his season total to 20, the third straight year he has reached that mark since joining the Wild.
