Steve Rucchin isn't close to returning from his fractured foot, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He hasn't even begun skating and is really only aiming for the playoffs at this point.

The Thrashers placed Steve Rucchin on injured reserve on Thursday, according to the AP. Rucchin had missed the last five games after being hit in the head in a Feb. 8 game at Colorado.

Steve Rucchin is aiming for Saturday as a return date after sitting out a couple games following a blow to the head in last Thursday's contest, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "It's one of those situations where they did recommend taking a few days rather than rush back," he said. "You don't want to be in a situation where if you get hit hard again, it's two episodes in a short period of time."

Steve Rucchin took a shot to his head during Thursday's game and was held out of Saturday's contest as a result, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He probably will miss at least one more game, as the Thrashers play it safe with his return.
