Todd Bertuzzi has made it through three straight days without concussion symptoms. "You've got to be symptom-free for a number of days before [the NHL] even allows you to begin activity," GM Brian Burke said, according to the LA Times. "But [Bertuzzi] came to camp with such a good aerobic base and he was in such great shape that we're not concerned he'll take a long time coming back once he's cleared to go." It's good news that he's finally showing improvement, but he'll have to get through some workouts and practices before returning to game aciton.

Todd Bertuzzi has not been allowed to resume workouts due to his lingering concussion, according to the LA Times. At this point, he's simply out indefinitely.

Todd Bertuzzi hasn't had any concussion symptoms for the past three days. "We need four or five days where it's symptom-free, which is the normal procedure," coach Randy Carlyle told the LA Times. "It's a very good sign." With any luck, he'll begin working out within a few days, but he probably won't be ready for game action until at least the middle of next week.

Todd Bertuzzi had to exit Sunday's game against the Wild in the first period and did not return. It appears that he sustained a concussion, according to the LA Times. Coach Randy Carlyle said that Bertuzzi is "highly doubtful" for Monday's skate against the Red Wings. Staying on the ice has become the bane of Bertuzzi's career in recent years. We'll have to wait for details on the severity of the concussion before a timetable for his return can be set.

Todd Bertuzzi signed a two-year, $8 million contract with the Ducks on Monday, according to the AP. "Todd Bertuzzi is a hard-nosed, physical player and a proven goal-scorer," Burke said. "Adding another imposing presence to our lineup with scoring touch is something we could not pass up." Bertuzzi, who was severely limited by a back injury, had three goals and eight assists in 15 games with Florida and Detroit last season.

Todd Bertuzzi played 13 minutes, 30 seconds in his first game of the playoffs Tuesday, with two shots on goal and credit for two hits, the Detroit News reports. Bertuzzi is coming back from a concussion. "He got better as the game went on," said coach Mike Babcock, who played Bertuzzi with Johan Franzen and Valtteri Filppula, as well as on the power play. It's possible Betuzzi could skate with Robert Lang and Kyle Calder Thursday.

Bertuzzi, who is recovering from a concussion, practiced with the team again Monday but said a decision on whether he'll play tonight is up to coach Mike Babcock and the training staff. "I feel good," Bertuzzi said. "I haven't spoken to Babs. I'm pretty sure I'll find out at the morning skate. I have no (concussion) symptoms. It was a good skate (Monday). I feel a lot better. I'm happy with where I'm at (physically)."

Coach Jacques Martin is hopeful that Todd Bertuzzi can take off the yellow noncontact jersey when the Panthers return to practice Friday, according to the Miami Herald. "[Bertuzzi's] been practicing with no contact," Martin said. "Hopefully after he sees the doctor he gets cleared to practice for contact.
