The Arizona Republic reports that Shane Doan is expected to skate with the Coyotes today for the first time since leaving Tuesday's game with a sore back. The team is hoping to have him return to the mix on Friday.

Shane Doan will miss at least tonight's game and maybe more because of a sore back, according to the Arizona Republic. "Shane could be as early as two days or he could be two weeks," Gretzky said. "The best thing for Shane might be to take Thursday and Saturday off." The safe bet has Doan returning to the ice next Friday at Anaheim.
