Boucher was having a disappointing year before the injury, but his status is still worth tracking closely.

X-rays revealed that Philippe Boucher has a slight separation of his right shoulder and will miss the next three weeks, according to the Dallas Morning News. "The day it happened, it was really frustrating – the 'Why me?' and everything," Boucher said. "But I'm better now. It's just another bump in the road. I know the routine, I know what it takes and I'm ready to do what it takes. I want to feel I've accomplished something this year, and there's no better time to do that than the postseason." Most of the season has been a bump for Boucher, who has been limted to just 32 games due to surgery on his other shoulder. He could be back for the end of the regular season.

At this time, the Stars consider Philippe Boucher to be week-to-week, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "What can I say, I'm having a run of bad luck here," he said. "It's pretty hard right now. It's a hit I've never shied away from and I tried to make a play, but it's just the way I fell. [Wednesday night] I was really frustrated, and I'm still frustrated today." The hit during Wednesday's game aggravated Boucher's surgically repaired shoulder. It was just his fourth game back from the original injury, which had sidelined him since early December.

Philippe Boucher played only one shift on Wednesday night before he removed himself from the game due to his injured shoulder. This was just the fourth game that Boucher had played since returning from December 5th shoulder surgery. Last season Boucher was a huge fantasy performer with 19 goals, 12 on the power-play, and 51 points. This season the offense just hasn't been there for Philippe who has only one goal and 12 points in 32 games.

Philippe Boucher was activated from the IR on Monday after missing 38 games due to an injured back, according to NHL.com. Boucher scored 51 points last season for the Stars, and with Sergei Zubov still out of action, the team could really use some offense from the backend which Boucher should certainly be able to supply.

Philippe Boucher is not expected to return until at least the end of February. "You want to be up and running for the biggest part of the season, so that's been a real incentive for me," he said, according to the Dallas Morning News. "That's something I'm thinking about in every workout." Initially, he was expected to miss just a month due to his Dec. 5 shoulder surgery, but obviously his recovery period has been extended considerably.
