Nicklas Lidstrom was forced from the Wings/Avalanche game on Monday with a knee injury, and he is not expected to return according to the AP. Lidstrom also appeared to hit his head hard into the boards, so there is also the possibility of a concussion as well. The severity of the injury is not known, but he was injured on a solid check from Ian Laperriere who hit him up against the boards. With all the talent in Detroit there is no disputing who the most valuable Wing is. Until we know more we don't want to speculate, but really, if Lidstrom is out, there is no way that you could be able to replace his production anyway, so keep your fingers crossed.
