Chris Chelios returned to practice Saturday, but he'll miss his second straight game tonight against the Kings, according to the Detroit Free Press. He's recovering from a leg injury he suffered Wednesday.

Chris Chelios wasn't surprised by the fact that he was a healthy scratch for Saturday's game against the Blues, according to the Detroit News. General manager Ken Holland and coach Mike Babcock told the 44-year-old Chelios that he would get occasional nights off this season. It's not like it was an unexpected thing," Chelios said. "Kenny and Mike talked about it with me. It's a non-issue. Everybody wants to play, and I'm ready to get back in there."
