Pavol Demitra reports that in an interview with Vancouver radio station CKNW, free agent forward Pavol Demitra confirmed that the Canucks are his preferred destination and expects to sign with the team. "I think there is a good chance," Demitra said. "[Current Canucks GM Mike Gillis] used to be my agent for a long time. We are very good friends. I am very interested in playing for [the Canucks]."

As is his M.O., Demitra has been in and out of the lineup with a myriad of injuries, but all along he has been able to put up points as is evident by his total of 38 of them in 46 games. He should continue right along with a near point-per-game pace when he is on the ice as he owns a career mark of 0.94 points-per-game.
