Wade Redden returned to the Senators lineup Thursday after missing nine games with a shoulder injury. Redden logged over 23 minutes of ice time in the 4-2 loss.

Wade Redden skated, passed and shot the puck with teammates during Monday's practice, but he is still not sure when he'll be able to return to the lineup, according to the Ottawa Citizen. Redden is out with a shoulder injury. "I'm going to let him let me know when he's ready to go," coach Bryan Murray said. "You saw what I did. I didn't ask him any questions, but he's going through whatever he can do with Randy (Lee, the team's strength and conditioning coach) and we'll see if he can play Tuesday or Thursday or Saturday."

Redden is expected to limit his practice time in an effort to get his groin as much rest as possible. "It's more important to strengthen it off the ice (on off days)," said Redden.

Wade Redden will be sidelined indefinitely have re-aggravating his groin injury over the weekend, according to the Ottawa Citizen. "It's frustrating," Redden said. "It felt good early last week, but I guess it's back to the drawing board. I'm trying not to set a timetable. We're just going to treat the symptoms and go with how it feels. I've never really had problems with the groin before, but I can't play through it."

The Senators have re-signed Wade Redden to a two-year contract worth $13 million, according to the Canadian Press. The team is expected to make a formal announcement within 24 hours. Redden would have been eligible to become an unrestricted free agent on Saturday.
