Mike Grier will get the day off on Sunday and will not be in action, according to the Mercury News. He has scored 22 points over 78 games this season, and will sit out to rest for the start of the playoffs.

Mike Grier scored a short-handed goal in Thursday's loss to the Oilers. Grier's goal came with more than 11 minutes left in the third period to make it 3-2. It was Grier's seventh goal of the season -- and the final goal of the game as San Jose lost 3-2 to Edmonton on Thursday night.
