Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 26 of 28 shots in the Ducks 3-2 overtime victory over the Kings on Wednesday night. He is now 2-0-0 in the preseason.

Behind the spectacular goaltending of Jean-Sebastien Giguere, the Ducks won their first home game of the first round to pull within one game of the Stars, three games to two, heading into Game 6. On the night, J-S stopped 40 of 42 shots.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere figures to get the call in Game 5 tonight despite the back-to-back nature of the matchup with the Stars, though there is still a chance that Jonas Hiller could still get the call, this according to the Los Angeles Times.

The Ducks have allowed the Stars to score six power-play goals in two games, a major reason while they trail the Stars two games to none in the first round of the playoffs. “I don’t know why we’re giving so many goals on the PK," Jean-Sebastien Giguere said, according to the AP. "This is where the games in playoffs are won and lost. We have to find a way to be better on the PK.”

Jean-Sebastien Giguere did not play on Friday night in a must win game versus the Sharks, and though nothing official has been mentioned, word in the press box is that he was injured during the pre-game warmups. For a portion of the game Giguere was not present on the bench with his teammates, so keep an eye on the injury reports later today once the team finally fesses up to up the issue is.

Bolstered by the airtight goaltending of Jean-Sebastien Giguere, who posted a 3-0-0 record during the week, the Ducks won five consecutive road games during their season-long, nine-game trip, according to RotoTimes sources. The Ducks have won five straight and are gelling at the right time as the team pushes for a top seed in the Western Conference.

Giguere has two shutouts in his last four starts, and he has allowed two or fewer goals in each of those games to improve to 24-15-5 on the year.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 32 shots in a 4-1 win over the Rangers on Thursday night. The win completed an Anaheim sweep of the New York skaters as the Ducks beat the Islanders on Tuesday. Giguere has now won his last two games after losing the previous four starts.
