Iginla said, "I'm not sure what coach Mike Keenan has in store, but, yeah, I'd love the chance to play with Bertuzzi. I'm excited. Sometimes, you play with different players and you can't explain why, but the chemistry, it's not there. And with some, you just feel, 'If we had some time together, if we could just work together."

Former Anaheim forward Todd Bertuzzi has signed a one-year deal to play for the Flames, according to the AP. Financial terms were not disclosed. Flames' GM Darryl Sutter said, "Todd is a proven scorer with the ability to play both wings. He expressed to us that he wanted to play in Canada and that desire along with signing him to a one-year deal was important to our philosophy. Additionally, our captain, Jarome Iginla, was a strong supporter of Todd and wanted him on our team."
