Canadiens sign Pacioretty Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - The Montreal Canadiens signed forward Max
Pacioretty to a three-year deal on Thursday. As team policy goes, financial
terms of the deal were not announced.
The 19-year-old was selected 22nd overall by the Canadiens in the 2007 NHL
Entry Draft. Last season with the University of Michigan, the 6-foot-2,
199-pound left-winger played in 37 games and registered 15 goals, 24 assists
and 59 penalty minutes.

Ryan O'Bryne signed a 3-year deal to remain a member of the Montreal Canadiens, according to The Sports Network. "Ryan acquired a great deal of NHL experience last season," said GM Bob Gainey. "He is part of our young core of defenseman and certainly has the potential of becoming a very good NHL player." Shawn Belle also signed a 1-year deal.
