The KHL is now firing back at the NHL claiming that the NHL broke the deal that the two leagues had worked out when they Kings signed two rookies last week (Vjateslave Voinov and Andrei Loktionov), according to the Star Tribune. As a result, the KHL will no longer honor the deal the two league's recently signed to not "steal" players from each others league if they are currently under contract.

Alexander Radulov has been suspended without pay by the Nashville Predators, according to TSN. Radulov had been given until September 1st to agree to honor the final year of his contract with the club but he failed to contact the club. "We are disappointed Alex will not be with the Predators at the start of this season," Predators President of hockey operations and general manager David Poile said. "At some point, we hope Alex will have a desire to return to the NHL and compete in the best league in the world, with and against the best competition."
